2nd DAN BLACKBELT

Minimum Age - 14 years

Experience needed - minimum 2 years from last grading. Pass Type - Pass/Fail.

Prior to grading, the student will have taught two karate classes with examiner providing a critique at the end of each session. At the end of 2nd session candidate will be given either a Pass/Fail. A pass will allow the candidate to complete the Ni-Dan Grading (See Note B).

3. Examiner to choose any one kata from 3rd Kyu to 1st Dan (inclusive) grading syllabus.

Pinan Kata Bunkai/Drill.

4. Candidate will demonstrate effective bunkai for Pinan Shodan Kata (See Note A).

5. Candidate will demonstrate effective bunkai for Pinan Nidan Kata (See Note A).

6. Shiai Kumite 1 - Competition sparring using competition rules.

7. Shiai Kumite 2 - Competition sparring using competition rules.
